Job Summary:
As a Junior WordPress / Web Designer & Developer, you will assist in designing, developing, and maintaining websites that align with client needs and industry standards. Under the guidance of senior team members, you’ll gain hands-on experience working on WordPress and other CMS platforms while learning how to optimize websites for performance, user experience, and SEO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and maintaining WordPress and WooCommerce websites.
- Support theme customization and plugin integration to meet client requirements.
- Conduct basic SEO optimizations, such as meta tag updates and site structure improvements.
- Test websites for responsiveness and functionality across browsers and devices.
- Assist in resolving website issues and implementing feedback from clients and team members.
- Collaborate with the design and content teams to create cohesive and user-friendly websites.
- Learn and utilize tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, and Ahrefs for performance monitoring.
- Stay up-to-date with web development trends, tools, and best practices.
Requirements:
- Educational Background: A degree or certification in web design, development, or a related field is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- CMS Experience: Familiarity with WordPress is required; experience with other CMS platforms like Shopify, Drupal, or Joomla is a plus.
- SEO Knowledge: Understanding of basic SEO principles and tools is a bonus.
- Design Skills: Familiarity with UI/UX principles and tools like Canva or Figma is a plus.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and learn quickly.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, eagerness to learn, and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Languages: Proficiency in English is required; Arabic is a bonus.
